New Zeland shore whaling station Mataura or Tois-Tois 1835-1836

South of the Banks Peninsula, South Islands, New Zealand. Owner/Superintendent Chasland and James Brown.

In 1835 were 11 whales caught within 17 days, lacking casks at the station was alle oil lost

In 1836 30 tuns oil
