American whaler Young visited Payta, Peru according to the newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror dated Wednesday 1 January 1834

An item referred to a letter from Charles Higginson dated Payta [Peru] 15 September 1833 reported the visit at Payta on 30 August of the American whaler Young Eagle master Coleman of Nantucket 13,5 months out 1.100 barrels oil.
