Dutch Greenland seal hunter Martha returned according to the Dutch newspaper Leydse courant dated 25 May 1853

An item dated Nieuwediep, Netherlands 17 May reported the arrival a day earlier of the frigate ship Martha fitted out for account of Purmerend, Netherlands with a catch of more as 11.000 seals of catches off Greenland which was quite profitable with at least a medium profit of six Dutch guilders for each seal. She left Norway on 27th February towards Greenland. The Groninger courant dated 24th called her captain S.A. Bull.
