A letter of the German naval attache in Japan dated Tokyo, Japan 27 May 1938 referring to the Japanese newspaper Asahi dated 23rd reporting that the Russian Pacific fleet was strengthened. It consisted mow of 70 submarines, 12 destroyers, 60 fast torpedo boats, 10 cruisers, 30 special ships and several submarine mother ships. The details were supplied by an authentic source at Seishin, Korea but could not be checked.
