American whaler Triton visited Russell, New Zealand according to the New Zealand newspaper Daily Southern Cross dated Monday 6 April 1863

An item reported the arrival at Port Russell, New Zealand on 13 March of the American whaler Triton of 300 tons master Packard from whaling 200 barrels sperm oil.
