The Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1901-1902 reported that the British cruiser 3rd class HMS Phoebe visited Tandjong-Priok, Dutch East Indies between 14-17 April 1901. The Dutch newspaper De locomotief dated 15 April reported her arrival on 14 April coming from Plymouth, commanded by Addington, boud for Sydney, Australia.
