Dutch whaler De Philip en Bernard for sale at auction at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1732

Shipbroker Adam Beth. Auction at Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement, Haarlemmerdyk, Amsterdam on Monday 20 October 1732 at 18:00 o’clock of the fluytship De Philip en Bernard, commandeur Jacob Jobse. (1) Built in 1718, doubled in 1729 with oak hull and in 1732 a new main mast placed and new rigging. Lying in de Waal off the Oude Stads Herberg. Dimensions 108¼ (prow) x 27.1 (first beam before large hatch within the hull) x 12.3 (depth of hold at first beam before large hatch on load line) x 6.9 (height verdeck first beam before large hatch) x 9 (height steering wheel area) Amsterdam foot. Sold for ƒ 8,040 to Soomer&Mourits.

Alphabetische naam-lyst van alle de Groenlandsche en Straat-Davidsche Commandeurs die sedert het jaar 1700 op Groenland en sedert het jaar 1719 op de Straat Davis etc. Gerret van Sant.
