Dutch whaling fluyt ship De St. Andries for sale at auction at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1783

 

Shipbrokers Tamme Beth Ysbrandsz, Denys Tentye and Arent Steyne. Auction at Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement, Haarlemmerdyk, Amsterdam on Monday 10 November 1783 at 17:00 o’clock of the Dutch whaling fluytship De St. Andries, commandeur Jan Lourens Walingh. Lying between the Tolhuys and Schelvishooft. Built in 1745. Dimensions 115.5 (prow) x 29.5 (first beam before large hatch within the hull) x 12.5 (depth of hold at first beam before large hatch on load line) x 7 (height verdeck first beam before large hatch) x 9.7  (height steering wheel area), all in Amsterdam foot.
