An item reported that the Japanese Prime Minister (1) informed the press that he favoured reducing the naval armaments and that militarisme no longer played a ruling force in Japan. The naval attaché stationed at Tokyo, Japan doubted however if the Naval General Staff favoured international reduction. The navy was however interested in a naval holiday.
