Seizure of American merchant ships at Marseille, France not true according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 24 May 1941

An item reported that well informed French sources were not aware of the seizure of two American ships in Marseille, France by French authorities as a result of the seizure of French ships lying in American harbours. There was not even a single American ship lying at France.
