American design No. 127 for a scout cruiser dated 1 May 1915

Made for the General Board discussions what the characteristics were to be of cruisers to be built in the future. For design No. 127 was design No. 112 used as baseline never realized. Dimensions 720 (on waterline) x 66.0 (waterline) x 18 feet. Block coefficient .538. Longitudinal coefficient 592. Turbine propulsion, 7 boiler rooms, speed with 56,000 ehp=35 knots, range 12,000 nautical miles/10 knots. Armament 2x1-35.56cm/14” guns and 9-12.7cm/5” anti torpedo guns. Not protected.
