Building ordered on 8 April 1944, laid down by Dravo Corp., Wilmington, Delaware, USA on 14 December 1944, launched on 2 February 1945, commissioned on 25 Feburary 1945, decommissioned on 14 September 1946, transferred to China and renamed ROCS Mei Tseng, since October 1949 of Nationalist China, decommissioned on 30 June 1972 and broken up in 1973.
Landing Ship Medium=LSM. Displacement 520 (light)-743 (landing)-1,095 (full load) tons and as dimensions 196.5 (waterline)-203.5 (over all) x 34.5 x 7.5 feet. Armament in the 1950s 2-4cm anti aircraft guns, 4-2cm anti aircraft guns. Diesel propulsion supplied via 2 shafts 2,800 bhp allowing a speed of 12 knots. Crew numbered 59 men.
