Japanese naval oil storage at Yokosuka on 27 June 1941

The American Naval Attache at Tokyo wrote that the estimates were prepared after considerable research and consulting the British Naval Attache at Tokyo and reasonable correct. If available were past estimates placed in parenthesis. It was furthermore reliable reported that all naval oil tankage was kept filled to capacity meaning that indicated amounts were the very minimum of Japan.

At Yokosuka were 7 of more tanks immediately west of Hakozaki, 4 tanks immediately south of the Yokosuka railway station, 3 tanks at Nagazakihama and underground storage at Hakozaki. Total estimated capacity 500,000 tons (201,000).
