Call sign JCNC. Homeport Tarumi. Launched by R. Duncan&Co. Ld., East Yard, Port Glasgow, Scotland with yard number 357 on 24 March 1923, completed in May 1925 and sunk by American warships USS Ford, Pope, Parrott and Paul Jones off Balikpapan on 24 January 1942. Gross tonnage 5,175 tons, under deck 4,822 tons, net tonnage 3,246 tons, deadweight 8,950 tons and as dimensions 404.9 x 53.0 x 27.6 x 7 (light)-24.8 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, horsepower 477 nhp, coal bunker capacity 1,925 tons, range 13,900 nautical miles/10.5 knots and speed (normal cruising)- (maximum) knots.
