An item reported that Japan was building two battleships called Nisin (?) and Takamatu with a displacement of 40,000-43,000 tons, a length of 240 metres, a speed of 27 knots and a main armament of 8-40,cm guns. The Takamatu was laid down at Yokosuka or Sasebo in September 1937, launched in April 1940 and in service in October 1941.(1)

1. In 1942 called another source a pocket battleship Takamatu or Takamatsu. Not existing.
