The newspaper Amsterdamsche Courant dated 16 Aril published a news item dealing with the successful launching early that morning of the corvette Zr.Ms. Van Speyk (1) and the training vessel Urania (2), the latter destined for the Royal Institute at Medemblik. Immediately after the launching were the masts in the Van Speyk placed.
