Laid down by Verolme Shipyards, Alblasserdam, Netherlands on 16 July 1973, launched on 15 October 1974, commissioned on 27 June 1975, taken out of service on 15 December 2011, decommissioned on 10 February 2012, a sale [to probably Pakistan] failed, announced on 24 June 2013 that she was to be broken up, stripped for useful parts leaving Den Helder, Netherlands on 21 February 2014 to be broken up in Turkey, arriving at Alang on 22 March. Displacement 16.900-17.357 (maximum) and as dimensions 170 x 20 x 8.4 metres or 560 x 66 x 28 feet. Speed 21 knots with 2 Werkspoor TM 410 diesels. Crew numbered 170-190 men. Armament consisted of 1 Goalkedper CIWS system, maximum 8-12.7mm/0.50” machine guns, the latter replacing the original 2-2cm Oerlikons and maximum 3 helicopters.
