The newspapers Javasche Courant of 6-20 December 1837 and the Singapore Free Press of 16 and 23 November 1837 gave some details dealing with the visit of the Dutch prince Hendrik at Poeloe Pinang (Prince of Wales Island) on board of the British warships HMS Zebra (1) and Wolf.(2) The Dutch frigate Zr.Ms. Bellona (3) and brig Snelheid (4) departed from the port 2 November towards Calcutta.

1. Of the Cruizer-class brig sloops, building ordered on 2 October 1812, laid down at the Bomby Dockyard, British Indies by master shipwright Jamsetjee Bomanjee, Wadia on 9 November 1814, launched on 18 December 1815 and wrecked on 2 December 1840 off Mount Carmel near Haifa, Israel.
2. 18 Gun sloop, launched in 1826, hulked on 1848, since 1859 serving as coal hulk and scrapped by 1878.
3. Frigate 2nd class, laid down at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands in July 1819, launched on 1 October 1823, commissioned 1 June 1825, decommissioned 31 August 1842, examined in 1843, broken up at Willemsoord, Netherlands in May-September 1850, displacement 1.460 tons and an armament of 44 guns.
4. Aadvice brig, decision no. 4 building ordered 15 February 1830, decision no. 5 named Snelheid 9 March, laid down at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands in August, order no. 15 to be completed for 8/20 part 15 March 1831, launched on 22 March 1833 door C. Soetermeer, order no. 78 to be completed on short notice 4 July, scrapped 1849, sold 1850, dimensions 28,00 (load line)x 7,70 (inner hull) x 2,9 (fore)-3,70 (aft) x 3,86 (depth below gun deck) metes and an armament of 14 guns (12-12pd carronades and 2-6pd guns).
