Ropucha-class project 775/II. Hull pennants 135 1983-1987, 105-1987-1990 and 127 since 1990. Commissioned on 30 May 1983. Of the Baltic Fleet. Built at BDK-43 with yard number 775/18 at the Stocznia Polonocna Shipyard, Gdansk, Poland. Renamed Minsk on 16 September 2000. General technical specifications are a displacement of 2.200 (standard)-4.080 (full load) tons and as dimensions 112,5 x 15 x 3,7 metres. Two diesel engines delivering 19.200 hp allowing via 2 screws aped of 18 knots and with a speed of 15 knots a range of 6.100 nautical miles. Crew numbers 87-98 men. Cargo capacity 10 main battle tanks/12 BTR and 340 soldiers or 3 main battle tanks+3-2S69 Nona-S, 5 MT-LB, 4 army trucks and 313 soldiers or 500 tons stores. Armament consists of 2-3cm AK-630 six barrelled gatling guns, Strela 2(SA-N-5) surface-to-air missile system consisting of 4 launchers, 1-7,6cm AK-176 (Ropucha II) or 2x2-5,7cm AK-257 guns (Ropucha-II).
