Dutch whaler Vrouw Maria sold at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 10 October 1774

This fluytship was sold on Monday 10 October 1774 in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam. Jacob Zitle (1)was her last commandeur. She was in 1743 newly fitted out. Dimensions in Amsterdam foot 112 x 28 x 12’6”, height verdeck 6’6” and S. 7”. Price ƒ 6,000 with toeslag ƒ 1,100. Dirk Jansen for his master.

1. Van Sante mentioned a Jacob Zittlohen who sailed in 1774 for director Adam Hakman of Amsterdam as Greenland whaler with as results 2 whales, 50 barrels of whale blbber and 76 quardelen train oil.
