Amphibious warfare craft LCM Serasa (L 33) 1996- of Brunei


Ordered on 30 November 1995. Sister ship Teraban (L 34), both launched at the yard of Transfield Shipbuilding, Western Australia on 8 November 1996. With a displacement of 336 tons full load are the dimensions 30,00 (waterline)- 32,95 (hull)-36,50 x 8,00 x 1,50 metres. The two Caterpillar 3508 diesels driving 2 propellors supplies 1,930 bhp allowing a speed of 12 knots and with a speed of 8 knots a range of 1,000 nautical miles. The armament consists of 2-20mm anti aircraft guns and 2x1-7,62mm machine guns. The crew numbers 12 men. Both crafts were used to transport vehicles, liquid stores (fuel and water stored in 4 tanks) and deck cargo's.
