London, 17 March. The Common House approved the proposed requests for personnel and other affairs without anyone discussion about the fact that the naval conference was doomed. Churchill (1) stated on behalf of the Conservatives that it was possible that he wanted later to investigate the position of the navy. The minister of navy Alexander answered that the cabinet would do nothing considering the naval policy without extensively consulting of the experts.
