Russian Light cruiser Kirov 1935-1974
Project 26, modified designs of the Italian Duca d'Aosta and Raimondo Montecuccoli--classes cruisers. Laid down at Ordzhonikidze yard at Leningrad on 22 October 1935, launched on 30 November 1936, commissioned on 23 September 1938 and scrapped on 22 February 1974.
With a displacement of 7,890 tonnes/7,765 long tons (standard)-9,436 tonnes/92,87 long tons (full load) were her dimensions 191,x x 17,66 x 6,15 (full load) metres. The two turbines and 8 boilers supplied 113,000 ship allowing a speed of nearly 36 knots and during the trials more as 41 knots. With a speed of 18 knots she had a range of 3,740 nautical miles. Her crew numbered >734-872< men. The armament consisted of 3x3--18cm guns, 6x1-10cm guns, 6x1-4,5cm anti aircraft guns, 4-12,7mm anti aircraft machine guns, 2x3-53,3cm torpedo tubes, >90-164<mines, 50 depth charges and she carried with her KOR-1 seaplanes launched with a Heinkel K-12 catapult.
