The Spanish squadron commanded by don Caldaeno Balder being fitted out at Ferrol 3 September 1804

Thanks to the by T.C. Hansard published The Parliamentary Debates from the year 1803 with the discussed papers, it's possible to get an impression on what's going in the Spanish navy at that moment an ally of the French empire and an enemy of the British empire. An published extract of a letter, dated 3 September 1804, written by rear admiral Cochrane while being off Ferrol to admiral Cornwallis gives the names and guns of the Spanish ships which were fitted out at Ferrol. The squadron, commanded by don Caerano Balder, existed of the ships of the line Neptune, 74 guns, San Augustin, 74 guns, Monarcha, 74 guns, frigates Vengeance, 36 guns, Fruesbo, 40 guns, storeship Brugula, corvette Urguiso, 24 guns and a anonymous brig, all ships provisioned for 3 months.
