British naval movements according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 19 February 1823

London, 14 February. According to letters from Jamaica dated 29 December 1822 captured the 26-gun frigate Tyne three ships off Cuba and brought these towards Jamaica. The 40 pirates were thrown into the prison.(1)The agent of Lloyd at New Orleans wrote 17 December that the British corvette Clyde was sighted 28 November with three pirate ships with totally 200 men which she captured three days earlier.(2)

1. A 24-gun 6th rate with as builders measurement 446 tons and dimensions 108’5”x 30’5”. Launched at the yard of Davy, Topsham 20 April 1814 and sold to be broken up in 1825.
2. Colledge mentioned a 4-gun tender, the former cutter Atalante purchased in 1805 and sold in 1826.
