In the 20th century were broke in several navies mutiny out, sometimes for political reasons as a result of a war which went disastrous, sometimes caused by bad treatment, wage cuts and or worse food. The newspaper Daily Herald reported on 26 February from London that according to tidings mutiny broke out on board of the Australian flagship Canberra which was underway from Sydney towards Tasmania as protest against the worse food. Marines stationed at the Jervis Bay at the Australian East Coast threatened with a strike.
