Naval operations of the Dutch East Company at Banda according to the Generale Missive dated 25 March 1741

Due to lacking enough cargo were instead of 3 ships of 130 feet asked for, just sent the Ananas and the Steenhoven, joined by the sloops Lastdrager and Nagelboom and a small tandjongpoura. Three for service at Banda built tandjongpoura’s were kept at Java to cruise for Chinese rebels. They were to departed after the monsoon. Two pantjalangs were to prevent trading by the Keffingers and by the inhabitants of Ceram Laut. There were no smugglers or species found at the so-called Zuidooster and Zuidwester Eilanden.
