Naval operations of the Dutch East Company in Palembang according to the Generale Missive dated 30 November 1729

The Heer Arendskerke departed from Batavia with 70000 pieces Mexican realen towards Palembang. Seventeen vessels belonging to Palembang transported in total 1723106 lb black pepper and also 7 pikol white pepper and 67 pikol Bangka-tin. The king made with 2 sloepen and more than 50 warboats a trip towards Bangka, to defend this island against the Buginese pirates. He didn’t succeed in taken his brother Pangeran Adipati or Sultan Anom prisoner. Half of the fleet remained under the command of Pangeran Adiwidjaja.
