British navy commissioned laid up ships according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuwsblad voor Sumuatra dated 25 August 1950

An item reported that the British Royal navy started to commission laid up ships. The British Admiralty announced that as a result of the defence programme 89 warships were accelerated commissioned including seven destroyers, nine frigates, ten minesweepers and a large number of smaller vessels.
