The French naval budget according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag: kleine courant dated 9 March 1906

During the discussion in the French parliament about the naval budget claimed Thomson (1) yesterday that the armament of their navy was comparable with the German and British. But France should follow the German and British example of building more battleships especially cruisers.
