Neapolitan flotilla gunboats in action according to the Dutch newspaper Koninglyke Staats-courant dated 20 September 1806

According to an item dated Naples 25 August was the Neapolitan flotilla of gunboats armed with small guns continuous in service. In the night of 6 August left the division gunboats commanded by lieutenant don Juan van Carraciolo Naples. After a short stay off the island Procida sailed the gunboats in the morning towards Gaëat, stayed there for some time and arrived finally at Terracina where a frigate and 2 bombs of the enemy were sighted. When these saw that the Neapolitan boats formed a battle order disappeared the enemy in the same night.
