Russian naval strength in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov areas according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 5 December 1851

An item dated Frankfurt 2 December reported that the Russian fleet nowadays on the Black Sea and Sea of Azov according to tidings from St. Petersburg consisted of 50-60 ships of the line. At the yard at Nicolajew were at that moment a ship of the line and some frigates build.
