France preparing naval invasion according to the Dutch magazine Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius dated May 1759

An item reported that the British crown received tidings that France was busy with fitting out a large number of flat-bottomed vessels in the ports, especially along the coast of Normandy. It was believed that France intended to invade Scotland or Ireland but there was no fear because the British naval and army forces were strong enough to resist any kind of danger.
