Chinese union of sailors tried to found communistic cells on merchant ships according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 7 March 1927

An item dated Shanghai 7 March reported that according to tidings received from Canton the union of sailors tried there to found communistic cells on board of all merchant ships. Sailors were asked to strike and if this was successful was a general strike at Hong Kong intended.
