Egyptian steamboat Reschid towards Marseille according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 16 August 1844

An item reported that the Egyptian government steamboat Reschid departed on 25 July from Alexandria towards Marseille with on board the third son of Mehemed Ali namely Hussein Bey and the Achmed Bey, the son of Ibrahim Pasha. They were to study at Paris together with around 30 other Egyptians the coming 4-5 years. Hussein was to study the European cavalry and Achmed the artillery. On 1 August arrived the Reschid at Malta and the 8th at Marseille.
