Notes
1. Cornelis Staf (23 April 1905 Ede-10 September 1973 Arnhem ), minister of war and navy.
2. Another newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 2 December reported that in that last week at The Hague was negotiated between representatives of the Bureau [Office] of Ships about the building of 18 minesweepers and five patrol vessels on behalf of the US navy. As a result was in the afternoon of 1 December an agreement signed between minister Staf and Graham C. Bannerman (Identical to the Honorable Graeme C. Bannerman, Director of Procurement Policy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Supply and Logistics) in 1960?) of the earlier mentioned Bureau. The patrol vessels are probably the unites of the Balder-class named Balder, Freyr, Hefring, Bulgia and Hadda.
