Cuban merchant ships Manzanilla and Santiago de Cuba lost according to the Dutch newspaper De Gooi- en Eemlander dated 18 August 1942

An item referred to tidings from Havana reporting that the Cuban ships Manbanilla and Santiago de Cuba were sunk costing the life of 23 crew members. The newspaper De Zuid-Willemsvaart dated 19 August and other newspapers confirmed the losses although calling the Manbanilla Manzanilla.
