Swedish protest against German minefield off Falsterbo according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder Nieuwsblad dated 27 November 1939

An item referred to the announcement of the Chief of the Swedish navy informing that the German minefield off Falsterbo was extended mainly in northern direction. A a result was the fairway with a depth of 8 metres south of Falsterbo closed for the shipping. The German mines were laid within the 4-miles zone which formed the border of the Swedish territorial waters according to the Swedish view. The Swedish cabinet would protest immediately.
