Dutch frigate ship De Hoop bound for St. Eustatius according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 13 December 1759

An announcement reported that the frigate ship De Hoop captain Hans Andriessen Smit with a length of 98½ feet (prow) and armed with 10 guns was to be ready at the end of January 1760 to depart Middelburg destined towards St. Eustatius with or without an escort. For more details about an any cargo could be asked at bookkeeper François Gaaswyk in Middelburg. The edition dated the 27th sail that the destination was St. Eustatius and Curacao.
