The Dutch bark ship Kolonel Koopman homeward bound according to the Dutch newspaper Javasche Courant dated 2 September 1840

An item reported that the fast bark ship Kolonel Koopman captain J.W.F. Schuchard was to depart Batavia end September towards the Netherlands. On board was a skilled doctor. For more details could be asked at the captain in Surabaya or B. Kopersmit&Co. in Batavia.(1)

1. The newspaper Groninger Courant dated Friday 12 June 1835 published an item dated Dordrecht 8 June reporting that the Saturday before at the shipyard of shipbuilder C. Smit in Amsterdam the frigate ship Kolonel Koopman was launched. The newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant confirmed the launching on the 6th. The newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 2 October published her departure from Hellevoetsluis on 30 September.
