The Dutch frigate ship Jacob Cats bound towards Batavia according to the Dutch newspaper The newspaper Groninger Courant dated Friday 12 June 1835

An item dated Dordrecht 8 June reported that on Saturday morning the troops of the corps of Cleerens were embarked on board of the frigate ship Jacob Cats destined towards the Dutch East Indies.(1)

1. The website http://www.scheepsindex.nl/schip.php?i=7408 reported that this frigate  was built at the shipyard De Mermede (C. Gips) in Dordrecht in 1835 for A. Blussé van Oud Alblas and that she was condemned being damaged and sold in 1857 in Batavia. The newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 16 March 1835 published an item dated Dordrecht the 13th that tomorrow afternoon around 15.30 o’clock by sufficient water level at the shipyard of shipbuilder Cornelis Gips the 2-deck frigate ship Jacob Cats of 450 lasten was to be launched. The Algemeen Handelsblad dated 30 October 1857 reported that she was condemned and sold in Batavia for ƒ 50.000.
