Dutch ships Proteus and Prins Veldmaarschalk built at Schiedam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 20 June 1838

An item reported that on Saturday the 16th at the shipyard de Nijverheid the shipbuilders C. Gips en Zonen immediately after the launching of the Proteus the keel laid down of the Prins Veldmaarschalk of 350 lasten for de Groot Roelants&Co.(1)
