Transport Buford transporting radicals to the Soviet Union according to the Dutch newspapers Het Vaderland dated 19 January 1920

An item reported reported that the transport Buford with on board 249 so-called radicals arrived at Hango, Finland. The Algemeen Handelsblad of the same date supplied more details. The radicals were to be transported to the Russian border accompanied by American civil servants. Berkman and Emma Goldman which seemed to be the leaders of radicals on board of the Soviet ark as the Americans called her announced to return to the USA to save this country.
