Chilean torpedo boat Injeniero Hyatt performed well during trial according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1896-1897 no. 10

An item referred to the magazine Engineering reporting that the Chilean torpedo boat Injeniero Hyatt built by the shipyard of Yarrow&Co. executed her trial on 15 February in the mouth of the Thames reaching a speed of 27,2 miles with a pressure of 195 pound. Together with the torpedo boat Cirujena Videla which was tested a month earlier was she to depart on short notice towards Chile.
