American frigate ship Constance loaded with petrol arrived at Flushing according to the Dutch newspaper Schiedamsche Courant dated 1 March 1886

An item referred to a tiding received from Flushing that the American frigate ship Constance which already transported in December 1885 a cargo petrol to this harbour, now again was chartered to bring 10.000 small barrels of petrol, al for account of the warehouse masters of Rotterdam which possessed a storehouse in the field of the shipyard Kon. Mij. De Schelde. At that moment was a ship unloading 7.000 barrels making this business slowly increasing.
