Argentinean destroyer Mendoza performed well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1912-1913 no. 7

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reported that the Argentinean destroyer Mendoza (1) achieved during her technical trial 33 miles and on her official trial 32,4 miles while the contract ordered 32 miles. Fitted out with Rateau turbines manufactured by the Chantiers de Bretagne. With a displacement of 950 ton.

1. Of the Mendoza-class with as sister ships Salta, San Juan and Rioja. Laid down on 18 November 1911 at the Chantiers de Bretagne, Nantes, France. The ships were never delivered to Argentina but requisitioned by France 9 August 1914. The Mendoza was renamed Aventurier and served under this name in the French navy until she was stricken in 1930 and 2 years later broken up.
