British Fleet Air Arm lacking personnel according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1939 no. 8

An item referred to the U.S.R. dated 1 June 1939 reporting that the British Fleet Air Arm was lacking pilots, observers and machine gun shooters. A new corps of navy pilots was to be founded which were to serve 7 years in the navy and than 5 year in the reserve. If desired it was able to serve another 10 years to become the right to a pension.
