Dutch shipping company Nederlandse Vracht- en Tankvaartmaatschappij N.V Dutch ordered building bulk carrier at Cork according to the Dutch newspaper Het vrije volk dated 19 April 1962

An item reported that the Dutch Verolme shipyard at Cork, Ireland would start in March-April 1963 with the building of a 30.000 ton deadweight bulk carrier for the Nederlandse Vracht- en Tankvaartmaatschappij N.V. at The Hague. Her dimensions were 180> x 24,91 x 10,51 and a hold of 15,01 metres and a loading capacity of 1.400.000 cubic feet.
