British steamship Ridley in quarantine at Rotterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 29 October 1913

An item reported that the British steamship Ridley coming from India was lying in Rotterdam, Netherlands in quarantine caused by the outbreak of cholera on board. Another newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië of the same date confirmed this item although without mentioning the name of the ship but adding that were two disease cases on board and what seemed to be cholera.
