Madrid, 9 October. The rumours dealing with a mutiny were more or less confirmed by a vague answer of the minister of navy when he was asked if some officers were arrested. The socialist magazine El Socialista reported that a socialist commotion broke out among officers and sailors stationed at the naval base at Ferrol and that several responsible officers were arrested. The N.T.A. reported from Paris that daily tidings arrived dealing with the agitation in Spain.
